Things To Do

Our landscape and facilities offer fantastic opportunities for mountain biking and cycling, skiing and snowboarding, walking, water sports, cruising and sailing, golf, angling and shooting, running, mountaineering, climbing and ice climbing. Ben Nevis, the UK’s highest mountain, is just down the road, together with Glen Nevis, home to Steall Falls. Oban is forty minutes away to the south and is a gateway to the islands of the west coast.

Lochaber is not just for the very active amongst us though. Our other local attractions include the West Highland Museum, the Clan Cameron Museum, the Commando Memorial, the Glenfinnan Monument and Viaduct, Ardnamurchan Lighthouse, Ben Nevis Distillery, the Nevis Range Gondola and Neptune’s Staircase on the Caledonian Canal. The Road to the Isles and the Great Glen have more to offer than you could possibly imagine.

A local bus service is nearby and Ballachulish village boasts an excellent food store, general store and fish and chip shop. The local tourist information centre offers excellent gifts and a warm welcome to enjoy their home baking and coffee.

We are blessed with a range of restaurants providing local produce, although our renters can be assured of a very warm welcome at our own dining facilities across the courtyard.

A doctors surgery and a dental practice are a short walk away.
